If you are an individual nominee, you should have received a nomination email. (Check your spam folder; it came from an AOL address.) This contains very important ticketing information, including your very own secret code to enter on the LADCC event page at Brown Paper Tickets which will enable you to reserve your complimentary ticket. (You may also purchase tickets for your guests at the same time.) We’re sorry, there is only a single comp per nominee. (We are a non-profit and we fund the Awards with ticket sales.) If you cannot use your secret code and would like to share it with someone to represent you at the Awards, please give the code to that person. Each code is good for a single ticket and can only be used once. Important: Please reserve your comp! We cannot let you in the theatre (without paying) unless you are on the list of people who have reserved comps with Brown Paper Tickets.
If you are a member of a nominated ensemble, a limited number of secret codes for complimentary tickets have been given to your show’s producer. (NOTE: For The Fantasticks and The Scottsboro Boys, the ensemble comp codes have been given to the theatre’s publicist.) Please contact that person regarding distribution of the ensemble comp codes.
If a show you worked on was nominated for Production or the McCulloh Award for Revival, there is a single complimentary ticket which goes to the show’s producer. (We’re sorry, if we extended comp tickets to everyone involved in all of our Production and McCulloh nominated shows, we’d go broke.)
Please reserve your tickets early; we have sold out at the Colony in the past.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE:
Every individual nominee, member of a nominated ensemble, and person involved in a show nominated for Production or the McCulloh Award for revival — every single one of you — is invited to our invitation-only nominee reception. Free food! Free beer, wine and soda! Mingling opportunities! Meet critics outside of their natural environment! Information about the date and location of the nominee reception is in your nominee letter; all we ask is that you rsvp to the address in your nominee letter so we know how much stuff to buy. (If you are part of a nominated ensemble, or involved in a show nominated for Production or the McCulloh, and your producer and/or publicist has not informed you of your invitation to the nominee reception, let us know at Awards@ladramacriticscircle.com and we’ll take care of it.)
Please note: We regret that we cannot extend the invitation for the reception to spouses and other “plus one”s. We have limited space (and resources) and, under the circumstances, have concluded that it is preferable to invite every member of every nominated ensemble, rather than inviting fewer nominees and allowing them to bring guests.
