If anyone asked me to name five dramatists writing today I’d expect to make the biggest Ibsen-Chekhov-O’Neill-Williams-esque noise in the future, Lucas Hnath would definitely feature prominently on my list. It’s quite a triumph to match and successfully modernize the voice of Henrik Ibsen without sounding either as dour or as preachy as the original. Read more…
