Katie Buenneke has been reviewing Los Angeles theater since 2011. Growing up, she always liked theater, but got bit by the theater bug in 2008, when she saw Spring Awakening for the first time. She earned her BA in Theater from USC’s School of Dramatic Arts, and while here, she ran Neon Tommy‘s theater section for three years. After graduating undergrad, she freelanced for LA Weekly and other publications, including the Atlantic and The Villiage Voice for another three years. She joined the LA Drama Critics Circle in 2015. She earned her MFA in film producing from USC and works in the film industry. Her theater reviews run in Stage Raw as well as her Substack, Theater Digest.
Katie joined the LADCC in 2016.
