Paul Birchall has covered theater and film in Los Angeles for over 20 years, having written for Stage Raw, L.A. Weekly, American Theater Magazine, Stage and Cinema, Citybeat LA, Backstage West, and the LA Reader. He also spent 20 years (though not necessarily the same 20 years, mind) working as a story analyst for various movie studios and literary agencies, including Sony Pictures, MGM, Dreamworks, Tristar, and CAA. Before that, he acted professionally on the Chicago stage. Paul has a history degree from the University of Chicago and a Masters in Library Science from the University of North Texas.

Paul joined the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle in 2015.
