Katie Buenneke is a freelance theater and pop music writer. She has been writing theater reviews since 2008. She was Theater Editor of Neon Tommy, USC’s digital publication, from 2011-2014, and greatly expanded Neon Tommy’s coverage of the L.A. theater scene.
She holds a B.A. in Theater (with an emphasis in Musical Theater) from USC. Her work regularly appears in L.A. Weekly, and has been published in the Atlantic, Los Angelesmagazine, and the Village Voice.
Katie joined the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle in 2016.
